Abstract

Eleven species from the family Staphylinidae (Coleoptera), subfamily Aleocharinae: Aleochara grandeguttata Assing, 2009, A. signata (J. Sahlberg, 1876), Atheta sodermani Bernhauer, 1931, A. speluncicollis Bernhauer, 1909, Cousya nigrata (Fairmaire et Laboulbène, 1856), Cypha aprilis (Rey, 1882), Dochmonota rudiventris (Eppelsheim, 1886), Euryalea murina (Erichson, 1839), Geostiba lucens (G. Benick, 1970), Pentanota meuseli Bernhauer, 1905, and subfamily Oxytelinae: Bledius occidentalis Bondroit, 1907, are reported from Czechia for the first time. Two species from the subfamily Oxytelinae, Bledius heterocerus Eppelsheim, 1889 and B. unicornis (Germar, 1825), are confirmed for the same country after 80 and 90 years respectively. Furthermore, five species of rove beetles of the subfamily Aleocharinae, namely Atheta glabricula C. G. Thomson, 1867, A. ischnocera C. G. Thomson, 1870, Cypha seminulum (Erichson, 1839), Oxypoda doderoi Bernhauer, 1902, and O. nigrocincta Mulsant et Rey, 1875, are recorded from Moravia for the first time. The distribution of all species is presented and notes on the ecology and collection circumstances for selected taxa are added.
