Illustrated keys are given for the Central European species of the genera Micrambe THOMSON and Cryptophagus HERBST
Abstract
All species are figured. New characters are used to differ between the genera Micrambe and Cryptophagus. The following new synonymies are proposed: Micrambe abietis (PAYKULL, 1798) (= M. pfefferi ROUBAL, 1844), Cryptophagus deubeli GANGLBAUER, 1887 (= C. silesianus GANGLBAUER, 1897, = C. transsilvanicus GANGLBAUER, 1897). Cryptophagus deubeli and C. croaticus REITTER, 1879 are different species. Cryptophagus brucia REITTER, 1875 is a valid species and not synonymous with C. hexagonalis TOURNER, 1869.
