The following changes were made to the Lexicon from 2025-12-01 to 2025-12-31 :

On the homepage, the blocks "Introducing", "From the life of insects", "Select for you" (update days) and "Just published" (update days) were updated.

• Update days: December 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2025
• The entire lexicon was moved to a new domain called lexikonbrouku.cz, and email communication was tested.
• The option to log in and register was added to the website footer.
• A contact form for communication between the website administrator and users was added to the website footer.
• The Imprint article was updated in the website footer.
• The Privacy Policy article was updated in the website footer in connection with the configuration of the cookie control plugin.
• Two monitored sources were changed in the "Just Published" section. Instead of EBSCO Host and Zoological Records, which had to be monitored manually, sources with automated monitoring capabilities were added: Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift and Baltic Journal of Coleopterology.
• The option to display selected content only to specific groups of registered users was added.

The "About project" pages were updated in the "News from Project", "Statistics", "Call for Cooperation", "Sources", "Podcasts and videos", "Block "Introducing"" and "Contacts" sections.

• Selected statistics from the newly deployed Matomo statistical system have been published on the "About the project -> Statistics" page.
• Three new podcasts and one video have been added to the "About the project -> Podcasts and videos" page.
• On the "About the project -> Contacts" page, the administrator's email address has been changed and a contact form for email communication has been added.
• On the "About the project -> Call for cooperation" page, a link to the contact form for establishing cooperation has been added.

The "Topics" pages were updated in the "Faunististic Grid", "Bioindicator Groups" and "Events" sections.

• On the page "Topics -> Faunistic Grid -> Calculation of data from the map," the less clear Openstreet Map was replaced with a clearer tourist map from the mapy.com server.
• The contents of the Bioindictor Groups page have been created.
• The page "Topics -> Bioindicator Groups -> Saproxylic Beetles" has been added.
• On the "Topics - Events" page, a block "Notify us of a new event" has been added to the right column, allowing users to report new events.

The "Lexikon" pages were updated in the "Atlas", "List of pests" and "Invasive species" sections.

• On the "Lexicon -> Atlas (by taxonomy/alphabetically)" pages, all images have been converted to webp format (previously they were in jpg format), which has sped up the loading of the relevant pages.
• The contents of the "Lexicon -> List of pests" page and new subpages have been created:
  • Forest pests
  • Agricultural pests
  • Storage pests
  • Technical pests
• The contents of the "Lexicon -> Invasive species" page have been created.

The "Determination" pages were not updated.

The "Information Resources" pages have been updated in the "Weblinks to Interesting Resources", "Intelligence", "Library" and "Pictures" sections.

• On the "Information Sources -> Library" page, the option to search for publications by tags has been added.
• On the "Information Sources -> Links to Interesting Sources" page, a "Report Broken Link" block has been added to the right column, allowing users to report broken links to external sources.
