New data on distribution of minute brown scavenger beetles (Coleoptera: Latridiidae) in Poland

Abstract

New faunistic records of nineteen Latridiidae species (11 of the Corticariinae and 8 of the Latridiinae) are presented, based on the material collected through the area of Poland by M. Wanat in 1991-2024. The new findings concern 15 zoogeographical regions in Poland. Among the studied species, two are very rare in Poland, i.e. Corticaria aphictoides Reitter and Melanophthalma rhenana Rücker & Johnson, both discovered there very recently and known from single localities.
