On the distribution and biology of the flea beetle Longitarsus nigerrimus (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Alticinae) in Czechia

Abstract

Information on the distribution, bionomics and ecology of the flea beetle Longitarsus nigerrimus (Gyllenhal, 1827) are summarized in the paper. Three new localities of the species in southern Bohemia (Třeboň region) are listed and the oligophagous connection with various species of the genus Utricularia (bladderwort) is confirmed. Adult feeding was observed also on Aldrovanda vesiculosa.
