Abstract

A rewiew of the family Throscidae Castelnau, 1840, based on new record and literature data, is made. Before 2007 only eight species of the family Throscidae were known from the territory of Czech Republic: Aulonothroscus brevicollis (Bonvouloir, 1859), Trixagus carinifrons (Bonvouloir, 1859), T. dermestoides (Linnaeus, 1767), T. duvalii (Bonvouloir, 1859), T. elateroides (Heer, 1841), T. leseigneuri Muona, 2002, T. meybohmi Leseigneur, 2005 and T. obtusus (Curtis, 1827). Three species are recorded from Czech Republic for the first time: T. atticus Reitter, 1921, T. exul (Bonvouloir, 1859) and T. gracilis Wollaston 1857.
