Abstract

We present an updated checklist of the Scarabaeoidea recorded from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, based on our long-term faunistic research and all data published until the end of December 2008. Altogether 175 species are known from the Czech Republic (7 species of Lucanidae, 6 species of Trogidae, 9 species of Geotrupidae, 3 species of Ochodaeidae and 150 species of Scarabaeidae) and 184 species from Slovakia (7 species of Trogidae and 158 species of Scarabaeidae, other families with the same number as in the Czech Republic).
