David W. Hagstrum

David W. Hagstrum

David W Hagstrum is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Entomology, Kansas State University. He received his B.A. in Biology-Chemistry at California Western University in 1965 and earned his Ph.D. in Entomology at the University of California, Riverside in 1970. He works on the ecology and behavior of stored product insects relevant to insect pest management. He has conducted extensive work to develop sampling programs for stored-product insects and to automate insect monitoring using acoustical sensors. In addition, he has developed and validated insect population growth models for forecasting insect infestation levels and pest management needs.
